Service NSW Access Upgrade - Armidale

SJ Baker Contract Works was engaged to deliver a functional and visually clean upgrade to the entry access at Service NSW Armidale. The goal was to improve accessibility, safety and street appeal for this busy community hub.

Our team constructed a custom hardwood deck and staircase, integrating robust black balustrading and handrails to meet public safety standards. The timber finish provides a natural warmth that pairs well with the existing brickwork and gives the front of the building a fresh, modern look.

Scope of works included:

• Raised hardwood decking with concealed fixings for a clean finish
• Custom-built staircase with non-slip treads
• Black steel handrails and compliant balustrades
• Slatted hardwood cladding to enclose the substructure
• Built to meet access and safety requirements for a high-traffic public facility
