Flat Roof Upgrade - Glen Innes

This Glen Innes cottage needed a reliable, code-compliant roofing solution after being knocked back for insurance following a recent hailstorm. The existing roof was made of aluminum sheeting, but with a pitch that didn’t meet Australian standards, it wasn’t eligible for re-insurance. That’s where we stepped in.
We replaced the roof with clip lock iron, specifically chosen for its performance on low-pitch applications. With a roof angle of just 1.6 degrees, clip lock was the ideal choice, engineered to perform in low-slope conditions without compromising water runoff or durability.
One of the key benefits of clip lock roofing is that it doesn’t require any fixings through the sheet itself. This not only improves the aesthetic finish but, more importantly, removes the risk of leaks developing around screw penetrations over time.
By switching to clip lock iron, we were able to bring this home up to current Australian standards, giving the owners peace of mind and getting them back on track with insurance coverage.
